- LIS6271 Research Methods in Library and Information Sciences: Special Libraries Research Proposal and Paper

This research proposal applies qualitative and quantitative functions of data collection and literature analysis to demonstrate the need, use, and barriers of law libraries and their librarians amongst legal professionals and the general public. Mock data was created to exemplify how this proposal could pan out in its initial stages and as to the goals that the research questions sought to reach.
IV.b. Students will identify opportunities for research and develop plans for research in applied settings in library and information science.
- LIS6511 Collection Development and Management: Community Needs Assessment

This assignment tasked our group with creating and analyzing dummy data on a library of our choice, or creation, and establishing a community needs assessment based on the fake responses we collected and curated from our "library patrons." Through crafted surveys, focus group questions, and informational overviews, this report encapsulates the stepping stones for developing new library policies while identifying more ways to increase connection and visibility with the communities the institution serves.
